This collection of 24 short stories by 3 different authors was quite a disappointment. I don’t know if some of the grammatical errors such as the omission of commas and periods where needed stemmed from the authors themselves, or could somehow be the fault of whoever formatted the stories for the Kindle. Other errors clearly fall on the authors’ shoulders, such as poor spelling and horrible misuse of words and phrases. Either way I found myself wincing my way through stories, trying to give them a chance but feeling compelled to highlight the errors as I came across them. Emma Cartwright’s are the only ones I got all the way through, but not easily. Hers are set in Amish communities, but she seems to make frequent use of both rumspringa and bishops making a lot of exceptions the usual rules in order to be able to do pretty much whatever she wants in her stories while still calling them “Amish.â€If these women want to make a success of their new publishing venture I strongly recommend they hire an excellent editor as well as learn some basic rules of punctuation. If they take their writing seriously and would like to know what some of their errors are, I would be glad to provide them with examples.As for everyone else, I can’t in good conscience recommend spending money on this set. There are so many truly excellent authors in this genre that are more worthy of your time and money; these ladies just aren’t there yet.
I couldn't put this box set down. I was moved in many of the stories.These authors are so gifted. I felt I was in each of the stories. They literally took me in!! I caught myself arguing for the girl. LOL! I had to remind myself.... It's a novel, calm down, missy.Get this box set, you won't be disappointed!!! WooHoo!Ivette Torres 😀ðŸ˜ðŸ‘‘🌷💗💕
