This book was absolutely phenomenal! Given Michele's extensive scholarship and projects focused solely on changes within the legal profession I assumed as a law student, it would be difficult to relate with some of the more difficult concepts in the book. I found out quickly this assumption was absolutely false!!! In Legal Upheaval, Michele is guiding you through an intimate, digestible, and transformative journey. Her aim is to teach people of all skill levels to effectively relate, grow, and develop tangible skills within a few hours that would without her guidance and diligence take months or years to learn and master. I could not envision a more effective way to stay informed with some of the latest trends in the law and simultaneously empower and guide you into implementing your newly learned skills like a seasoned professional.
The author uses a wealth of examples and stories to illustrate ways in which legal organizations can effect innovation and change. While it's an easy read, there are exercises and sections in which to stop and reflect on what the material means. This book works for non-legal managers...but it's ideal for any attorney at any level of their career. And this is a 'must read' for any managing partner or general counsel. Good stuff.

As in house for my own company, i found the insight to be right on. This is a must read for all in house and those entering the legal profession. The author offers practical advice and makes you think in ways many in business have not considered. Good job Michele. If i could leave 6 stars I would.
