I found B Plus: Dancing for Mikhail Baryshnikov at American Ballet Theatre: A Memoir by Michael Langlois to be a very compelling account of the life of a ballet dancer. While the end of the story was somewhat clear from the onset it seemed to unfold with such panache that I found it difficult to put down. I learned a lot about ballet dancers that I had not known before. I found Michael's style of writing to have a flair of self-assurance that was quite different than his lack of self confidence as a ballet dancer. His personal recounting of the intimate details of his life and of those luminaries in the ballet world that he came in contact with kept me enthralled throughout the memoir. A great read!

The incredible story of Michael’s life in the ballet is raw, reflective and although serious at times, very funny and real. Michael has a way with words and a real appreciation for life and his place in it.
Amazing job! He has a voice for hundreds of dancers who came before and will come after. Not just for the ABT dancers , but for other young dancers needing to know they are not Alone !
A must read for anyone who Has ever danced or watched a dance performance.Very funny and human story. A must read!
